Captions along upper top reads: "STOP 2, St. GEORGE, no. 1." Large photographs of this type were created just after to flight to assist with the geologic investigation of Hadley Rille. Astronauts Scott and Irwin employed the first use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle to travel over 2 miles from the Lunar Module to traverse site 2, near both Hadley Rille and St. George Crater. This panoramic image features 5 overlapping Hasselblad photographs looking north into Hadley Rille with a partial view of Mount Hadley to the right.
S$ 1,200 APOLLO 15 VIEWS THE WESTERN WALL OF HADLEY RILLE EXTENSIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION OF HADLEY RILLE Large black and white photograph, 20 x 24 inches. Captions along upper top reads: "EVA 3 RILLE MOSAIC." On their final moon surface exploration, Astronauts Scott and Irwin visited the rim of Hadley Rille that was located due west of their landing site. This panoramic image features 9 overlapping Hasselblad photographs looking at the western wall of Hadley Rille revealing hundreds of large rocks and boulders. The rille is believed to be collapsed lava tube or channel which occurred very early in the Moon's history.
US$ 1,000 APOLLO 15 VIEWS THE WESTERN WALL OF HADLEY RILLE ANOTHER EXTENSIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION OF HADLEY RILLE Large black and white photograph, 20 x 24 inches. Captions along upper top reads: "HADLEY MOSAIC, STOP 10." At Station 10 on their final moon surface exploration, Astronauts Scott and Irwin took detailed photographs using a 500mm telephoto lens on their Hasselblad camera. This panoramic image features 7 overlapping Hasselblad photographs looking at the rolling ridges of the Swann Mountains just south of Mount Hadley. Numerous craters and boulders can be seen.
US$ 700 APOLLO 15 LUNAR SURFACE FRAME—HADLEY RILLE Large black and white photograph, 11 x 14 inches. Details from Hasselblad frame A15-85-11425 show a north looking view into Hadley Rille with the western and southern wall in sunlight.
US$ 700 APOLLO 15 LUNAR SURFACE FRAME—SILVER SPUR Large black and white photograph, 11 x 14 inches. Details from Hasselblad frame A15-84-11250 using a 500mm telephoto lens focused on "Silver Spur," a mountain outcrop which exhibits several layers of lineations, suggesting the structural make-up of this feature. It is named for geologist Lee Silver who played a major role in instructing Scott and Irwin on lunar geology.
US$ 1,125 APOLLO 15 LUNAR SURFACE FRAME—ROVER TRACKS AND FOOTPRINTS Large black and white photograph, 11 x 14 inches. Details from Hasselblad frame A15-82-11056 taken during the last lunar surface exploration, EVA 3. The rover tracks and footprints created by Scott and Irwin are clearly seen with the Lunar Module and mountains in the background.
US$ 500 APOLLO 15 LANDING SITE SEEN FROM ORBIT Large black and white photograph, 11 x 14 inches. Details from a Hasselblad frame taken while in lunar orbit showing the Apollo 15 landing site with the long winding track of Hadley Rille surrounded by the rugged Hadley and Apennine Mountains.
US$ 500 APOLLO 15 VIEWS ARISTARCHUS FROM ORBIT Large black and white photograph, 11 x 14 inches. Details from a Hasselblad frame taken while in lunar orbit show both Aristarchus and Herodotus craters plus extensive rille structures. Aristarchus is one of the brightest lunar features as seen from the Earth and this area is noted for a high number of transient lunar phenomena.
