General Photo Book, 31 january launch
The general photo book is a collection of Apollo photographs that cover the lunar surface as it will be seen from the Apollo 14 orbit if launched on 31 January 1971. The book has been broken into sections by longitude and within each sections it is further subdivised into groups dependent upon the direction the camera was pointed when the picture was taken. that is South, North, Forward West, backward East. This breakdown was made in an attempt to present the surface features in the same perspective as they may be seen from any perspective.
Unfortunately, not only was insufficient photography available to cover all prospectives, but also some of the surface areas were not adequately covered from any perspective.
Each photofrah is labeled with direction North, landmarks, photo targets, feature names and coordinates of the principal point of the photograph
